About Us

Our agency started in 2005 with a mission to help families grow through the gifts of egg donation and surrogacy. Our goal was to start an agency that would provide professional and personable services to infertile families at an affordable cost. Furthermore, we also strongly believe that the kind, young women, that have volunteered to be egg donors and surrogate mothers, should be treated with the same level of professionalism and caring. Since our inception in 2005 we have assisted hundreds of infertile families on their journey to parenthood through egg donation and surrogacy. In addition, we have developed great business relationships with reproductive endocrinologists, nurses, genetic counselors, psychologists and reproductive attorneys around the world. It is our philosophy that by providing in-depth education to all parties involved in a third party reproduction arrangement and by providing continual guidance and support throughout the process, everyone's stress level will be reduced. It is our endeavor to make the journey to parenthood an enjoyable experience.

Jamie Smith (Founder & Co-Owner)
Director of Cycle Coordination
Equipped with a background in business management and a Bachelor of Science in Business Degree from University of Phoenix, Jamie collaborated to start Happy Beginnings in 2005. Her desire to pursue the infertility field was derivative from her own less than desirable experience as an egg donor while she was a college student. She realized the need for organized and competent professionals to recruit responsible and suitable young women to undergo the egg donation process and ensure seamless cycle facilitation. Currently she does her utmost to provide caring and professional guidance to all parties involved in third party reproduction arrangements. She values her position as director of cycle coordination and the opportunity it has afforded her to match hundreds of infertile families with caring young women to assist them in building their families through egg donation and surrogacy.

Jennifer Clevenger,RN BSN, CCRN (Co-Owner)
Director of Intended Parent Relations
Her role in the infertility field began after her own struggle with secondary infertility. Having personally been through multiple IUI and IVF cycles herself she has true empathy for other families afflicted with infertility. Educated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing through Chamberlain College of Nursing combined with her experience in critical care and obstetrical nursing she elected to collaborate with Jamie Smith. She takes pride in her role as Director of Intended Parent Relations and the part she has played in helping hundreds of families become parents through third party reproduction. It is her goal to provide valuable education to all parties involved in third party reproduction arrangements. She feels that ensuring all parties are educated about the process and potential complications; the smoother and more rewarding the process will be for all involved.

Lynda Tabor
Donor & Surrogate Recruiter
Upon learning of the satisfaction and joy a close friend experienced in helping an infertile family by being their egg donor, Lynda decided to research egg donation. She later helped two families experience the joy of becoming parents by being their egg donor. As a previous donor, she understands the process and is able to expertly guide donors through the application and interview process while educating them on exactly what to expect once selected. She is currently pursuing gestational surrogacy and hopes to pass on the joy she feels as a mother of three boys to another loving family as their surrogate mother. Lynda also has an extensive background in hospital administration and is a licensed insurance agent. Desirae Murdock
Cycle Coordinator
As a mother of three, Desirae values her role in helping other families become parents. She strives to provide the highest level of compassion and professionalism when dealing with clinics, clients, attorneys and all of the various parties involved in cycle facilitation. Her strong organization skills and positive attitude make her a perfect candidate to make sure donor and surrogate cycles progress smoothly. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Healthcare Management and has a strong background in the healthcare management field. Our Team of Receptionists
-Asia, Kelsey, Nina and Jessica have proved to be vital members of Happy Beginnings team. They work diligently to answer and route the high volume of calls that come into the office on a daily basis. They also assist with scheduling appointments for intended parent consults, egg donor and surrogate interviews. They each have extensive experience in basic office procedures and customer relations.
